Mayfair 101 founder James Mawhinney must pay $1.3 million in security within six weeks or a case brought on behalf of his property management group Mainland against a lender and two McGrathNichol receivers will be thrown out.

Court to hold Bitcoin passwords in $10.3M case against Blockchain Global

The Victoria Supreme Court will hold two passwords for Bitcoins in a secure location after a judge found that the loss of the passwords could lead to the destruction of $10.3 million worth of cryptocurrency at the heart of lawsuits involving the collapsed Blockchain Global Limited.

Judge dismisses Macquarie bid for ‘irrelevant’ tax docs in underpayments suit

Three former Macquarie Bank financial advisors who claim the bank underpaid them have successfully appealed a decision ordering them to hand over personal tax assessments, with an appeals court finding that the most the bank could make of the documents was to “inflict a degree of embarrassment” on its ex-employees.
